QUADRATIC POLYNOMIAL

quadratic polynomial

A polynomial of degree 2 is known as quadratic polynomial.
for example ax2+bx+c where a,b,c are real number and x is variable ,a never be zero.
Example
3x2-4x+5
x2+16
x2-√5x+5
√5x2-4x-√7

p(x)=ax2+bx+c is quadratic polynomial and x is real number likes 1,2,33 then put the value od x in quadratic polynomial ax2+bx+c and we get the value of quadratic polynomial p(x)
for example
p(x)=ax2+bx+c
if x=2,a=3,b=4,c=2 then value of quadratic polynomial is
p(x)=3*22+4*2+2
p(2)=22

QUADRATIC EQUATION

if p(x) is quadratic polynomial and p(x)=0 quadratic polynomial equal to zero then this type of equation is called as quadratic equation. we write quadratic equation like ax2+bx+c=0 where a,b,c are real number and a not equal to zero.
if a is zero then equation is not quadratic equation.
